INFORMATION ON THE USE OF COOKIES

This website uses technical cookies. Below is information on the use of cookies and similar technologies, how they are used by the site, and how to manage them.

Definitions
Cookies are small text files that websites visited by users send to their terminals, where they are stored to be transmitted back to the same sites upon subsequent visits. Cookies from so-called "third parties" are set by a website different from the one the user is visiting. This is because on each site there may be elements (images, maps, sounds, specific links to web pages of other domains, etc.) that reside on servers different from that of the visited site.

Types of Cookies
Based on their characteristics and use, cookies can be categorized into different types:

- Technical Cookies: Technical cookies are used solely for "the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide that service" (cf. Article 122, paragraph 1, of the Code). They are not used for any other purposes and are normally installed directly by the website owner or operator. They can be divided into:
- Navigation or session cookies, which ensure the normal navigation and use of the website;
- Analytics cookies, similar to technical cookies when used directly by the site operator to collect aggregate information on the number of users and how they visit the site;
- Functionality cookies, which allow users to navigate based on a series of selected criteria in order to improve the service provided to them. For the installation of such cookies, the prior consent of users is not required, while the obligation to provide information under Article 13 of the Code remains, which the website operator, if using only such devices, may provide in the manner it deems most appropriate.
- Profiling Cookies: These are aimed at creating user profiles and are used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences shown by the user during their web browsing. Due to the potential invasiveness of such devices into users' private sphere, European and Italian regulations require that users be adequately informed about their use and express their valid consent. Article 122 of the Code refers to them, stating that "the storage of information in the terminal equipment of a contracting party or user or access to information already stored is permitted only on condition that the contracting party or user has given consent after being informed with the simplified methods referred to in Article 13, paragraph 3" (Article 122, paragraph 1, of the Code).
This website does not use profiling cookies.
- Third-party Cookies: By visiting this website, cookies may be received from sites managed by other organizations ("third parties"). An example includes the presence of "social plugins" for Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, or embedded multimedia content display systems such as YouTube, Flickr. These are parts generated directly by these sites and integrated into the visited hosting site's webpage.
The presence of these plugins involves the transmission of cookies to and from all sites managed by third parties. The management of information collected by "third parties" is governed by their respective policies, which should be referred to. For greater transparency and convenience, below are the web addresses of the various policies and methods for managing cookies:
- Google Analytics: The site may also include components transmitted by Google Analytics, a web traffic analysis service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). These cookies are used solely to monitor and improve site performance.

Cookie Management
Users can decide whether to accept cookies or not using their browser settings.
Note: Disabling technical cookies entirely or partially may compromise the optimal use of the site.
Disabling "third-party" cookies does not affect navigability in any way. Settings can be defined specifically for different websites and web applications. Furthermore, browsers allow different settings to be defined for "own" and "third-party" cookies. For example, in Firefox, through the Tools->Options->Privacy menu, you can access a control panel where you can define whether to accept or reject different types of cookies and proceed with their removal. Documentation on how to set cookie management rules for your browser is easily available online. Here are some addresses related to major browsers, for example:
